It didn't start in a factory. It started with a problem and a piece of leather.
After years of riding and finding nothing that felt genuinely built for the road, I decided it was time for Hide & Piston.

I'm Chris, the craftsman behind every piece that leaves the workshop.

Hide & Piston grew from a passion for riding, craftsmanship and making things properly. I don't believe in fast fashion or disposable goods. I believe in leather goods with character — made to be used, worn and become part of your journey.

Premium Materials. Honest Craftsmanship.

Every piece is handmade here in the UK, one at a time, using carefully selected full-grain leather from respected Italian tanneries.

The natural grain is left intact, allowing the leather to develop its own character and patina over time.

Every piece is cut, stitched and finished by hand. Edges are carefully burnished, hardware is chosen for durability, and every stitch is placed with attention to detail.

No mass production. No unnecessary shortcuts. Just good leather and proper craftsmanship.

I'm a rider, and I make things I'd be happy to use myself.

Hide & Piston is a small independent workshop, deliberately kept that way. It means I can focus on quality, make things properly and put my name behind every piece.
